The Guardian - Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #66 of 246 |
I've just heard that The Guardian - MiniMed's Continuous Blood Glucose
Monitor just got FDA
approval. It will be $999 and should be available within 2-3 months.
It's similar to the pump. You put a sensor just
under the skin, (with an introducer needle), then the count displays on a
transmitter (which is NOT connected to you, you can set it on a dresser
at night, it needs to be within 6 feet of you). You must change the site
every 3 days. You need to do AT LEAST 2 finger sticks a day to calibrate
it.
