My son uses the Animas IR1000 pump with the Minimed Quick set. My son
started pump therapy in May. We had problems with multiple occlusion errors
in August and Animas replaced the pump. The same occlusion errors crept up
again in December and Animas again replaced the pump. The current pump has
not had occlusion errors; however, we have experienced numerous "Delivery
Halted - No Prime" messages in the last few days. Again, Animas will replace
the pump. While I am thankful for the support of Animas Corp and their Pump
Support Staff the constant errors and alarms have sent us over the edge. My
son has even requested that we revert to shots. (I quashed that notion.)

We have an appointment by his endocrinologist next week. Please share your
thoughts on other pumps other than Animas as I will be requesting a pump
probably from Minimed.
