Re: [JewishIP] Insulin reservoirs

I personally do not think it is necessary to add insulin to cover possible
occlusion errors. However, I am not a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) which
would be the best source of an answer to your question. If you do not have a
CDE to whom to turn, please let me know and I can try to find one for you,
depending upon where you and your family live. I can also help by having
someone from Animas contact you directly, if you would like me to do so. But
the bottom line is that for me, other than the extra units I put in for priming,
I don't add units to cover possible occlusion errors.

My son uses the Animas Pump that loses 25 units when priming. I guess my
question really should be: should one add more insulin to cover possible
occlusion errors?
