I am excited to announce the clearance of the OneTouchR PingT glucose
management system by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). OneTouchR
PingT is the first full-feature insulin pump that wirelessly communicates
with a blood glucose meter-remote. Using the OneTouchR PingT meter-remote,
a patient can test their blood glucose, calculate their insulin dose and
wirelessly instruct the pump to deliver it without ever touching the pump.
This gives patients more freedom and flexibility in using their insulin
pump.



OneTouchR PingT is the first OneTouchR product to be offered by Animas
Corporation. OneTouchR PingT also marks the first integrated product
developed by two companies within the diabetes care group of Johnson &
Johnson, Animas Corporation and LifeScan, Inc., makers of the OneTouchR
brand of glucose meters and UltraR Test Strips.



In addition to unique remote bolusing capabilities, the OneTouchR PingT
glucose management system also offers the following:

ezManagerR Max Diabetes Management Software



OneTouchR PingT will also work with the recently cleared ezManagerR Max
Diabetes Management Software designed to allow patients to download
important diabetes management data from their AnimasR and OneTouchR insulin
pumps and specified blood glucose meters, including the OneTouchR line of
products. Integrated blood glucose data from the OneTouchR PingT
meter-remote and insulin dosing data from the pump may be downloaded for
review, analysis and evaluation of insulin delivery and blood glucose
history to better inform healthcare decision-making. The ezManagerR Max
software is MAC and PC compatible, including the MicrosoftR VistaR operating
system.
