Shalom, everyone. I am new to this group. I am wondering about the
purpose of a specifically Jewish insulin pumpers list? I wanted to
join because I wanted to talk to mishpocha..but are there issues where
pumping and Jewish life intersect in ways that require extra thought
or attention?

FYI: I was diagnosed with Type I 33 years ago at age 7. My younger
brother was diagnosed two years later, also at age 7. He tried a pump,
prefers injections.

I went on a Disetronic HTron pump 12 years ago in order to prepare to
have children. (we now have a 9 year old boy and an 11 yr old girl)
About 6 weeks ago I switched to a brand new wonderful Animas IR 1250.
I love the new pump! I am thinking about scribing a prayer onto the
back of it, that's how much I love it.
