I forgot to mention in my previous message that Therasense Strips are no longer
formulary for Blue Cross Insured. On the plan that I have that means a 50%
copay with a $50 minimum/month. That puts it out of reach for me. Especially
when One Touch is formulary and only costs $30 per month supply (My endo writes
for 400/mo) So when getting a pump/meter that is another thing that you need to
consider. While the pump may be on the formulary the strips may not be and you
will then have a tremendous out of pocket expense.
