Re: [JewishIP] Minimed vs. Animas

I have used the Animas for almost 2 years. They have excellent support. If you
want to see a true cross section of complaints you might go to
insulin-pumpers.org. Keep in mind that they have a very high volume of
messages. There are a lot of people happy with Minimed and there are a lot of
people that are mad at MM. Since Medtronics bought out MiniMed, its not the
same company and the level of service isn't the same. The is just anectdotal
evidence. The same goes for Deltec. I've heard that the quality of service has
changed since Smiths Medical of England bought them out. I can't point to any
one case, but there have been some people complaining about them. Also note
that with Deltec/Smiths you have to go through a third party medical supplier.
With Animas and MiniMed you deal directly with the manufacturer. This might be
more information than you wanted. But an informed consumer is a smart consumer.
You are always welcome to ask any member of the group for advice.
