Unfortunately to many people in the Frum world keep
diabetes a secret, as it is some sort of contaigous
disease to be avoided like the plague. Others are
worried about their (or their childrens prospects for
s shidduch) so it is difficult to know just how many
IP's there truly are. My 9 year old son is an IP, and
wears his pump clipped to his pants and proudly
displays the different covers he has for his pump. It
is a class activity every day to guess which cover he
is wearing that day, as are two other boys in his
school, yet the school says there are over 3 dozen
diabetics in the school, of course noone knows who
they are (except their teachers of course, I hope. The
school absolutely BEGS parents to disclose any medical
conditions of their children. One parent didnt
disclose that their child had a heart condition, and
it almost cost them there son!).

To answer your question simply, yes there are many
Jewish IP's like yourself.
