Nick, I have hired a personal trainer every 3-4 months for a couple of
sessions to introduce new exercises and check my form. I also read all I
can because I have a fear of doing damage. (You all posting your injuries
are not helping this fear. The warning is good and I am very grateful for
my good health. I am also sorry to hear of so many troubles. May we all
learn.)
My trainer told me I should be able to do at least one pull-up/chin-up
without air assist by the end of next year so that is my long range goal.
Keep working, your body does respond although sometimes it seems like you
work for months before something happens and when it does you feel so
proud! If you keep working you do get better and the alternative is not an
option for me. I did my squats today.
