Chris, I agree that form is VERY important. But for some of us here the WEIGHT
has some value also. As to missing perfect form from time to time I know that
even our sponser Dave has stated that he does some exageratted motion and extra
swing or whatever at times when he is really pushing a set or a weight. In
general I agree with you but there are differing goals out here in this group.
Proper form wil decrease the risk of injury and help with improvement whether
that is for "Looks and size" or increased strength (more weight), it really
doesn't matter. Proper form is still important. As to not caring, I don't care
how others lift unless its endangering me or they ask for advice.

Guy:
Another interesting phenom I witness daily is barbel curls (not big bar, but
the short weighted ones on the racks) where people literally lunge and swing
to get the bar up.
It took me awhile to understand that form is king and what brought the point
home for good was when an impressive physique, day after day in the gym,
continued to never touch a dumbell over 50 lbs and actually spent more times
using 15's than anything else from biceps to shoulders to triceps.
Since then, I couldn't tell you how much I can do for any movement
because I just don't know and don't care. That guy is no longer around but
every day I step into the gym I still see the wigglers, back archers, and
other oddballs galore. I grab the 15's, smile real big, and of course,
thank the big iron gods for letting me in on the secret.
