"Intersexed Society" is an online discussion/support group for Intersex individuals, our lover(s), and allies. This list is not to be used as a dating service for individuals seeking someone "Intersex". For that reason we have a strict policy on written introductions to the list.

This list is not opened for study purposes. We ask that the medical psychology profession, media, and students who wish to "study" us, respect our space and please do not request membership.

The introduction that Yahoo has set up is not a proper introduction. Anyone wishing to join the IS group must submit a written introduction to the moderator. Your request to join will not be considered until we have received your introduction. Upon approval of your membership your introduction will be submitted to the group.

This is a measure to protect sensitive members of the group, and assure that this list remains a safe place for Intersex individuals.

This group is not affiliated with, or a part of, the Intersex Society of North America (www.isna.org).
