Mesenteric Panniculitis (aka Retractile & Sclerosing Mesenteritis, Mesenteric Lipodystrophy) are all similar types of a very rare form of panniculitis which gives terrible debilitating pain to the stomach and the intestines. This group was formerly known as the Screaming Bellies group because our bellies scream in pain. We have since expanded and members are joining from across the globe. Thus, we were renamed: International Mesenteric Panniculitis Society aka: IMPS.

Retractile Mesenteritis, also known as Mesenteric Panniculitis, is a disorder that affects the digestive tract membranes. It is characterized by infection, inflammation and intestinal obstructions. Major symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and fever.
