Re: Sleepwalking!? My friend's son was a very active sleepwalker whenever in new
situations or understress.? He is not under much stress right now, but he is on
a ship... Note: His mother has never given him the recommended medications as
she?believes that medicine 24 hours a day for a once-in-a-while thing does not
make sense.? She asked what could be done to help him keep safe.? He is on the
"Semester at Sea" program and his roommate has been alerted to his most recent
pattern of sitting up, looking like he's awake, maybe straightening out the
pictures on the wall, then getting back in bed to sleep..???I think that this is
a glitch in?his sleeping pattern - a deep sleep beyond REM with none of the
paralysis that keeps REM safe.
If he were to do the kind of "walking around the house or around the
neighborhood" that he did when he was younger, she is concerned that he could
endanger himself.
He is a good subject, always loved volunteering for stage hypnosis at school
events, county fairs, etc.? Only way I can imagine access would be with a
scheduled phone call.? Has anyone had success with sleepwalkers -- and with
phone work?
Thanks for your ideas.? -- Julianne
