Hello, fellow hypnotists,
I just joined the Yahoo group (and will be officially joining IHF
shortly), so I thought it would be polite to introduce myself.
My names is James Hazlerig, and I live in the wilds of Bastrop
County, Texas. This month, I completed my certification training with
Kathy Moore of Moore Inspirations in San Antonio, Texas. I also had
the extreme good fortune to be the only student who signed up for the
THRIVE conference this year, so I got to spend four days getting
private instruction from Shelley herself, as well as several other
instructors. (The Universe conspires to provide me with excellent
training!)
Over the course of the next few months, I'll be setting up my
business in Smithville, Texas. The business name is Harmony Hypnosis,
and the URL will be www.HarmonyHypnosis.net--but it's not online yet,
so don't try to go there!
Besides being a hypnotist, I've enjoyed success as a professional
musician, champion storyteller, freelance writer/editor, college
instructor, and shamanic practitioner. *blows dust off diploma* Oh,
yeah, and I have a Master's Degree in English.
My first experience with hypnosis occurred forty-one years ago--when
I was born, my mother used a post-hypnotic trigger to enter trance
and deliver without discomfort. And because life moves in circles, my
very last "homework" client was an expecting teen mother who was
terrified to give birth; I got the news last Saturday that she had
the baby after a two-hour labor in which she was perfectly calm and
chose not to have any pain management other than hypnosis.
Whew! Well, that's probably more than you ever wanted to know about
me. I look forward to learning from all of you; it's great to be able
to talk to hypnotists with far more experience than I have. (Any tips
for someone just starting a business are quite welcome!)
Thanks,
James Hazlerig
