It has been an amazing year and lots of changes have happened.

I moved my private sessions into a Med Spa to see clients. This
allows me to have a receptionist and office 7 days a week from 9am-
9pm without having all the trouble of managing it.

I separated my training and seminars from this which has worked well.
The website has really helped in promoting the changes and attracting
people.

For anyone that does not have a web presence I would recommend it. It
is really quite simple to do and it allows clients to know you better
before they meet you. I have had clients from all over the US that
contact me because they felt a connection through the web. They have
sent me pictures so I know what they look like when we talk. Kind of
funny really but it has been fun.

Web Ranking is used by search engines. The higher the ranking the
better placement some search engines give you. Each search engine is
different in how they do this. There are a couple things that are
important to ranking.

1: The number of other sites that link to your site. There are a lot
of different opinions on link exchange. A couple things that I
recommend is that you do exchange links with other sites.
a. Exchange with sites that have something in common with you.
b. Keep your links site simple. You do not want to do a lot of
work to maintain it.
c. Have your links or resources link placed at the bottom of your
first page. It needs to branch off from the first page to be
effective.
d. It is better in my opinion if the link pages open into another
window allowing them to keep on your site.

2: Submit your site regularly to the search engines. Once a month is
a good submission schedule. I use a submission program that does it
automatically to around 400 engines. Google is a manual submission
and it is easy to do. They have a webmaster tools section which is
very good and can help you alot. http://www.google.com/webmasters/

3: Keywords and meta-tags are important. How are people going to
search for you on the web? Hypnosis brings up just about everyone so
people that use the web would not search this keyword most of the
time. If you were going to find someone you might type in the city
and hypnotist or hypnosis or weight loss. Most people now search with
multiple words. This means that if you want to get found use the
combination of multiple words like your clients would use. I am not
ranked in a million sites when it comes to hypnosis but medical
hypnosis santa clarita I am ranked number one most of the time.
Hypnotist santa clarita I am also ranked very high. Ask your friends
how they would search for a hypnotist on the web. Meta tags are
little identifiers that are placed at the beginning of your webpages.
It consists of title, description and keywords in most cases. Some
search engines go through and check these meta-tags and use them for
your index. If you want to know what your meta tags are just click on
view then source and another window will pop up. This is your html
code for your site. At the top you will find your meta tags. Make
sure they are correct. If not change them if you know how or have
your webmaster do it. They do make a difference in some engines.

4: Doorways and URL are an important way to increase your rating. A
doorway is a front page that you optimize leading to your site. This
page utilizes all your keywords and has an enter link or other
hyperlinks that will utilize keywords. Doorways allow you to
manipulate the search engines a little. Your URL should include some
of your keywords in it. This is quite simple because all you do is a
search on a specific keyword phrase and see if there is a website to
it yet. If not register it for 9 bucks a year and make a doorway page
from that website linking to yours. You can link the doorway page to
your site allowing you to share links as well with yourself. Most
domain registers allow you to create a one page site for free on your
new domain so the cost is 9 bucks a year to have this doorway. I
utilize 31 doorways to my site utilizing keyword combinations.
Someone types in that keyword combination I have a website of that
exact search so I automatically get ranked high on the results.

Well I think this is enough for now on website ranking. I better get
back to bringing in clients and getting ready for a productive new
year.
