the uses of hypnosis and hypnotic techniques in all
forms of everyday nursing practice, as well as in
obstetrics, peri-operative, and pain management areas.
Hypnosis is becoming more acceptable as an adjunct to
nursing practice. It is a normal phenomenon that can
be used to positively influence patient outcomes.

* Expand your nursing skills and learn how to use the
application of medical hypnosis in the clinical
setting. See demonstrations and get hands-on practice,
while learning many in-depth techniques. This course
is both inspiring and very practical. Help your
patients and at the same time learn techniques to help
yourself.


* In 1958 the American Medical Association endorsed
hypnosis and hypnotherapy as a legitimate treatment
tool for pain, stress and relaxation management,
childbirth, preparing for surgery, as well as
overcoming fears of medical, dental and other hospital
procedures. You can immediately take these skills that
you will be learning and apply them in your nursing
practice. No need to use the term "hypnosis." You can
call it deep relaxation or guided imagery.


USES OF MEDICAL HYPNOSIS
Pain Management Hypnosis & Self-Hypnosis are endorsed
by the National Institutes of Health and the Joint
Commission Association for Health Care Organizations
(JCAHO) as an adjunctive coping skill in the treatment
of chronic and cancer pain.

Stress Management. On an average workday, an estimated
one million workers do not make it to work due to
stress. Hypnosis and self-hypnosis are the best
avenues for dealing with stress. Endorsed by the
National Institutes of Health.

Pain-Free Childbirth as seen on Dateline. Studies show
a decrease in hospitalization for Pregnancy Induced
Hypertension by 50%. Labor shortened by 2-4 hours.
Decreases c-sections from 30% (national average) to
less than 5%.

Surgery Preparation. Blue Shield of California did
studies showing quicker recovery, less nausea and
vomiting, and less pain when using hypnotic techniques
2-3 weeks prior to surgery.

Cancer Research has shown that hypnosis helps manage
cancer pain and is effective in increasing the immune
system while decreasing the uncomfortable side effects
of radiation and chemotherapy.

the incidence of post-op nausea, vomiting, and pain to
enhance patient satisfaction. How to use hypnosis for
pregnancy and delivery.

had many years of experience in the medical field as a

Center in August of 2000. After graduation, she
received masters certifications in NLP and Reiki, and
she became a practitioner in Time Line Therapy and
