What If "A client comes to see you for weight loss"   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #537 of 1052 |
Lets say a client comes in to see you for weight loss. What do you
believe are the keys to cover with any weight loss client? How many
sessions do you recommend and what are some of your approaches to
make sure the client is successful?

Specific questions:

1. How many sessions do you do with the client that needs to loose
100 pounds or more?

2. What modalities do you use to work with the client?

3. What expectation do you set with the client?

4. Do you work with the client alone or have a network of people?

What you answer here could help others and you might be amazed to see
what others are doing in our field for weight loss.

I have started offering monthly programs and they are taking off. I
also have went to develop a network of support tools for the clients
so they can be more successful. I wanted to stay away from diets and
loosing weight to get it back and work on lifestyle changes for the
clients. For the clients that need to loose over a hundred pounds we
do more sessions and a lot of it is just holding them accountable for
their actions. Nutrition coaching is included in the programs and I
have physical trainers that they can work with as well. The reason I
went to this approach is because several clients did not know how to
eat healthy and it was not a matter of wanting to but a matter of
knowing how to succeed. Once that was addressed the weight just
started to come off and now it is a rollercoaster ride of success.

The other nice thing about networking is that I get referrals from
nutrition centers for people that are blocking success to work with.
Gyms and studios recommend people that go back and forth and keep
self sabatoging their results. I believe the mind can do anything but
sometimes the mind has to be educated on what to do and how to do it
correctly even after all the parts have been addressed.

I have also been experimenting with my own process and have lost 10
pounds in the last 20 days so things seem to be working well without
hunger and really any issues. After I get this even more refined I
will share it at a meeting so you all can take a look at it and see
what you think.

Remember in order to be successful we need to be successful with our
clients. Successful clients tell people and word of mouth is the best
advertising that I have found.

Almost forgot to mention that I just signed my radio deal for the
next three months. I was able to work out a trial and do it with no
cost to the company just a trade of services. Now how cool is that?

Michael
