Re: [InternationalHypnosisFederation] Fetal memory and Hypnosis

I have assisted many expectant moms over the years and had a situation once that
may be related to this comment.
I normally do four sessions: one private and three group with moms and their
birthing companions. After the third session one of the moms went home and the
next day the child was born. She called and told me about it was very happy and
the delivery was about three hours, of which less than fifteen minutes were at
all uncomfortable. She asked if she could come back for the fourth session
because she just liked it so much. Sure! Come on.
When she arrived, she had her daughter with her in one of those car
carrier/things that also turns into a two bedroom condo... you know what I mean.
The baby was sleeping for most of the time and as we went ahead with the session
(there were four moms in that group) the baby woke up while I was conducting a
'safe place' or some 'trance' thingy. She looked around and began to cry. I
leaned down next to her and spoke in the way that I did with her mom and she
went back to sleep and remained asleep until after the session. Clearly, the
words themselves meant nothing. The moms all agree that she recognized the sound
or tone of my voice.
Did she? We can wait ten or twenty years and ask if she remembers but the moms
were sure and the three remaining moms all had great success with their births.
It ain't science, but it happened and each of those moms would say it's so.

Take a look at this study regarding fetal memory:
In a study of 100 of pregnant women in the Netherlands, researchers say they
found evidence that fetuses have short-term memory of sounds by the 30th week of
pregnancy, and develop a long-term memory of sound after that.

I have had many clients say they remember things from inside the womb.
