Infusion Site Question   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #315 of 899 |
Hi Everyone,
I have been on the pump almost 7 months now. Wow- time flies. My
question is about infusion sites. I have noticed that my sites get red
and remain red and very noticeable for several weeks after I have
changed sites. I change sites every 3, sometimes 4 days. I look like
I have track marks on my abdomen. Any suggestions on why this may
happen and what can I do to stop looking like I have chicken pox?
Also, I have been using my abdomen but what other areas do folks use?
I am hesitant to use my legs because of the difference in absorption.
I feel like I'm running out of room.
Thanks for any and all input.

Jennifer

Jennifer, 1) try switching every two day instead of three. Rotation works well when you rotate in the form a "W" on your abdomen. Doing this gives enough time ...

Hi Jennifer, I don't know which infusion set you are using, but you may want to experiment with a different type or make sure that the one you are using is...
