Well here is my problem. I wet the bed but i also wet my pants every now and then, but i was wondering which products are the most absorbent and how much could they hold if i were to have a really heavy accident? give me a list and send it to me thanks. I would like to also know what incontinence products you use for heavy wetting. thanks BYE wihafosch@... and wihafosch@... .
Hi, I am also intontient and it is not much fun. I have tried many products and fine the Secure Plus the best for daytime. They are very trim and easy to put on. Hope this helps.

i have a colostomy & have lived with bladder incontince for 8 years. I appreciate the support our groups offers to one another.
Please excuse my ignorance, but could someone please define AB/DL?
Thanks to all who share links to products that work for you as well as other practical tips to make our 'life challenge' a little more manageable. For example, I never would have thought of cutting a hole in an upper diaper to extend the wear of a lower diaper. I tried it, and it sometimes works very well. I personally wear pullups disposable underwear and wear Size 5 baby diapers. I change the inner diaper every 3 hours and the pullup is the backup that usually lasts all day. For several years I used Huggies Sz. 5 overnites but a few weeks ago
to save time I grabbed a pkg. from Aldi's called Nanny's Tender Stretch Premium Diapers. They work just as well and I think that I save 14 cents on each diaper.
Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
Amen.

Hello
I think their has been a lot Ab/dl bashing going on or speculating
who is or isn't.
this is supposed to be a support site. key word support.
people who spend alot of time and energy try to accuse people of
being ab's or dl's have to much time on their hands.
wether or not people have a real need to wear diapers or other
protection is their business and not anybody elses.
as long as their not posting anything perverted or other wise
inappropriate I don't see a problem.
to each his or her own.

I don't usually post to this group, but I will say the majority of postings to this group pertain to discussions about whether or not AB-type people should be posting or not.
Here's an idea: why don't people stop putting so much emphasis on who has "the right" to post and get back to talking about incontinence? Interesting subjects and ideas relating to incontinence foster better discussion. If no one has anything to say but put down AB's, perhaps that's a sign that this group is dying of boredom? Everyone that has joined this group did so for that reason and that reason may not be the same as everyone else's. My god, do we really want everyone being the same as everyone else?

I think its time you all stop the negativity; negativity does not foster any support and this is supposed to be a support group.

Hello All,
I don't think it's fair that you assume that because someone has the word baby in their id that they are in either of those groups. I very dear friend that I am no longer able to visit gave this ID to me while she was helping nurse me back to health. I have visited 2 of their parties over the past 6 years to try and figure out they are so comfortable with wearing diapers while I struggle with it still. I have no inclination to try any of that stuff again but will deny the friendships I have made with some of them. I'm going to be kind and just say drop the AB/DL subject. I'd like to go in deeper but I don't have space on one e-mail. Other than that, I am incontinent and have been since September of 2005. I also have a genetic disease called C.M.T. (Charcot-Marie-Tooth) which makes it hard to take care of myself. I wont get into an arguement on the AB/DL thing but I became an AB AFTER I made my Yahoo name. My friends left, all but a few, and those that stayed wanted to help. They all know I have trouble getting out and about by myself and when they found out that I'm incontinent they started taking the liberty of changing me and helping me around the house. I'm not saying they're my 'mommies' or anything but they're being helpful and I won't mind being a baby if it means I get help doing the things that you all DEFINITELY take for granted. I'm only 18 years old, I wear diapers for need, and I can't even start a car or open a house door with one
hand thanks to the CMT. If anyone can even come close to me then they can start talking about the AB/DL thing TO MY FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've got nothing wrong with it and I'd probably take part in it myself if offered.
I agree with you, why are we putting so much emphasis on bashing ABs and DLs instead of helping those in diapers. I'll admitt friends do change me and help me out but that's because things you people take for granted I can't do. Given the opportunity to become an adult baby I'd probably take the offer because I am basically a baby, I can't use one hand to open a door or turn on my car. I need help just opening a bottle of soda, I'm only 18 years old and I have an advanced stage of CMT. Anyway, I would agree with you, we need to get back to the support business of a support group.

My girlfriend has been incontinent for the past year after giving

These Diapers hold up for about 10 hours or so. She is 30 yrs old and

Hy Sorry for my bad English I also remain incontinent after the birth of my second children 1 1/2 years ago,a nerve deserving my bladder was injuried, this meen I can't feel it at all. The worst problem is I never know when I will wet, sometimes a stay dry 3-4 ours and only after my bladder is full I start to pee, but sometimes I pee a bit every 10 minutes.Daytimes I usualy wear maxipads or towels but for nighttime I must diaper myself. And you?

been completely incontinent. I have no control of my bladder and have been wearing diapers. I joke that my baby and I have the same underwear. Only, it's not really funny. I'm miserable and am afraid there is no cure. I don't even feel myself peeing when I do pee, I just feel a gush sometimes and that's how I know I am peeing. So wearing a diaper is a big must. I have an appt. with a urogynecologist in a couple weeks and I am willing to do surgery to fix this if necessary. I'm just afraid even that won't help. I don't want to live the rest of my life like this.

This sounds like a case of needing a sling. Slings are used to support things that have fallen during child birth when the muscles weaken, but I am not a doctor.

I would think that nearly everyone probably deals with urine odor to some degree. Several glassess of water daily is essential in addition to coffee, tea or carbonated beverages. Some men choose to shave the private area, but that's not for me. I have used various shower gels and shampoos with little help. I do use peri wash which does help. [Available @ home medical supply stores] I at least like to start the day out smelling fresh! .........Mike

Hi all,

Even when I take a shower I can still smell it. Any help would be welcome. And yes, I have used several types of wipes to no avail.

A major cause of strong-smelling urine is concentration, due
to insufficient liquid intake. I'd urge you to drink more,
even though it may cause more incontinence, to reduce the
concentration of salts and other wastes in your urine. It's
counterintuitive for those of us who are incontinent, but is
actually important to maintain better health.
Hope this helps some. As to meds, ask your pharmacist if
they have any suggestions. Often they're more in the know
than the docs!
