Hi Mike. I am only 34 and can associate with your problem somewhat.
When I was only 19 I had a prostate infection. Thank God it was only
a temporary thing but it did leave some permanent side effects. When
I had this problem I would constantly have drainage from my penis,
urine and other. I usually tried using the men's guards from Depend
or other belted or self adhesive liners. They usually are more than
needed and don't stay in place when active. I found that the smallest
size bedpads seem to cover the most area and are all the absorbtion
needed without the whole world being able to see them. If it's not
hot weather, vynil pants with cheap underwear works well too.
I posted a message on groups.yahoo.com/group/incontinenceproducts/
about how someone should make a thin diaper, sort of the thickness of
bedpads, for people with these types of problems. Maybe you want to
go there and check the replies. RS.

Hi Yes Cloth works the best for me to. But for travel I us disposables from XP MEDICAL and use booster pads thay sell and I don,t have any leak problem.plus I wear plastic pants over them.I,d really embarreset if I had a leak when staying at friends houses. I spend alot of time there. They know about my bedwetting problem and they understand. You can also get a big pad to lay on.You can get them at most drug stores. There very helpful to.Hope your Husband can find someting that works Ok for him assure him he,s not alone. I have found that tightness isn't as important as thickness. Do you use disposables? try a Depends Booster pad in the middle to absorb more... frankly, I've never had luck with disposables for my bedwetting... I sleep on my side alot, and "male parts" move around, causing leaks. I've been in cloth diapers and plastic pants for most of my 14 years of bedwetting. Also, with
cloth, you can make them as thick as needed.

There is really no need to worry about the bed wetting problem with all the advances in bladder control technology today. I would recommend you check out www.cnyurology.com-or talk to a doctor Bashar Omarbasha 315-363-8862 regarding the AMS800 Urinary control system. Also contact American medical systems, inc. 800 -328-3881.Dennis

Hi niuhuskie629,
I have been traveling and I was unable to post a reply so please
forgive my tardiness.
I became incontinent in 1996 or at least that is when the bedwetting
started. My wife, then of five years was very understanding, but I
was angry. Well, very angry, and I unfortunately let my anger be
expressed by being verbally abusive. I had tried condom catheters
and was excessively unhappy with the results. She suggested
diapers, and I went ballistic. I loved my wife however and sought
counseling. Perhaps that is what your husband should do. The first
time I wore a diaper to bed I leaked because I had no idea on how to
put it on. My wife helped me tighten it up the second night. At
the time I was using the depend overnights and the whole experience
was foreign to me. Her helping me get "diapered" really ticked me
off. I was mad because I wasn't looking for that kind of help. The
psychologist helped me get over the anger. When I finally stopped
being angry it got easier, it took about 6 months for me to come to
grips with it though. I couldn't understand what kept my wife from
leaving me because of how I treated her, of course at the time I
blamed our issues on the diapers, but she stuck it out, just like
you. You are very brave and very loving to hang in there, it shows
a lot of courage. My wife has found ways of helping me feel better
about the whole incontinence ordeal so if you or your husband would
like to email us just use this email for starters and we'd be happy
to help you and your husband through this difficult time. Even if
you'd like a woman's perspective she's offered to send you her
private email too. Just let us know. In the mean time we'll keep
you in our prayers.
Good Luck,
Mike aka jd_3rd@...

You could use Depend pull-on pants instead of diapers. Your husband could pull them on on his own and they shouldn't leak neither. Their texture make them more like ordinary underwear too. You can find them in any store.
Good luck !
Cedric.

I don't know what the moderator of this group thinks about posting individual clinic services for incontinence but I can't see how it could do anything but help. Where is this clinic? I am in southern California and also provide clinical services for incontinence.

I'M MEDICALLY RETIRED, AND MARRIED. ( 16 MONTH'S )

my name is neil and i live in the uk
im trying to find a cupal of pen pales to talk to and may be to give
me a cupal of tips
Let me see. Were to begin? Oh, I got it. I served in the army going
on 13 years now. I'm also a disabled war vetern. I suffer from
migraines due to my military service as well as a few other medical
problems. One of them is obvious, I use diapers. I sometimes wet
myself when I have a severe migraine. I don't know about you, but I
really hate it when this happens. It is a good thing that I love
diapers though.
In the past, I have been a father figure to adult baby. I really love
seeing others in diapers more then myself. I'm a very careing &
loveing person. I make a pretty good father. At least that is what
others have told me.
When I'm not working in the army, I'm working on the ambulances. I've
been an Emergency Medical Technician for the past 13 or more years.
Started as a volunteer. Now I do it for a private company. The
company pays me little compared to other ambulance companies, but I
just enjoy taking care of the patients! What good is life if you
don't share it with others?
Thank you,
John Selmon

Sorry for the delay replying. Have been in the hospital a
week.
Have you discussed this with your doctor? MANY times such
problems can be treated or cured, but you have to ask for
help or you won't get it. I PROMISE you won't be the first
guy your doc has heard from.
My best to you!
