urether stent + detrol = bad combination   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #144 of 3490 |
I supposed had kidney stone surgery done last year(8/7/03) - but
no!! The urologist, who done the surgery on me; stuck a urether stent
in me and sent a home. The insult to injury; he gave a prescription
of 7 detrol tablets. Lets do the math - urether stent, device to
remove infection : note a side effect of incontinence + Detrol, a
drug to control bladder spasms = bad
combination.
I'm glad that I wore depends diapers and put a absorbsent flannel
towel around my bladder to stop leaking. The urether stent physically
drain me and cause me pain. Here's one nasty side effect - if the
urether stent is left there in too long - I would have developed
another kidney
stone.
If somebody has kidney stones, take this advice : don't let the
urologist put a urether stent put in you - it's not worth
it.
Roy
