Hello everyone!

I am writing to implore you to consider participating in Sophie's Walk for
Vasa Previa. We understand that it isn't always possible to organize a
large event due to time constraints and other responsibilities. This is not
a problem! You can still help the VPF raise important funds for awareness
campaigns and research. What is important is that someone, somewhere walk
during each of the 24 hours of 24 August. This will easily be accomplished
by people around the world walking at 8:30 am in their town on walk day.

We absolutely need participants walking all over the world to make this a 24
hour walk. It only takes an hour to walk 5k and you can walk privately
anywhere you like, just so long as you walk at 8:30 am. If you'd like to
inform your local press that you are walking in Sophie's Walk, we can easily
provide you with press materials. Your support will be immensely
appreciated. This event will help us spread much needed awareness about
vasa previa at the same time. So, register to walk (even if you are
planning to walk privately), grab a sponsor contributions form, and ask a
few friends to donate or walk with you. Of course if you wish to organize
an officially sponsored walk in your area, there may still be time and we
will be more than happy to help with that. If you would like an email form
to send to your friends asking them to help us with Sophie's Walk, just say
the word and we will send one to you.

Thank you for your time and interest in this important cause. Babies don't
need to die because of vasa previa. We'd like to see these senseless deaths
become a thing of the past.
