This years Sophie's Walk is scheduled for October 3 or 4, 2009.  Sophie's Walk is an event where family and friends get together and walk 5 kilometers or 3.2 miles to increase awareness and raise funds for Vasa Previa.  These walks range in size from just a few family members to larger number of family and friends.  

It's not too early to register and start collecting pledges.  Consider becoming a walk captain or helping volunteer with a local captain in your area.  Vasa Previa has affected many of us and participating in Sophie's Walk shows that we are not going away until infant deaths due to Vasa Previa are eliminated.
