Hello everyone!IVPF has learned of a family that needs our help right away. They have recently relocated to Canada, after having been diagnosed with vasa previa. They do not qualify for the national Canadian health coverage until well after the baby is born which will result in medical expenses possibly running in excess of $15,000CAD. Paul is a house painter and Avital is currently in the hospital awaiting the birth of their child. A $15,000 hospital bill will be a terrible hardship for this family.
Although your generosity makes it possible for the IVPF to attend medical conferences, and perform other important activities that raise awareness about vasa previa, resulting in prenatal diagnosis and the good management that Avital is receiving, we simply do not have the resources to make donations to indivual families. So we are asking you to consider donating specifically to the Baby Gilles Special Fundraiser. All funds received through this particular fundraiser will go directly to Paul and Avital Gilles' medical expenses. We are certain that our 500+ general and participating membership can make a big dent in the cost of Avital's hospitalization and delivery. Whatever you can give will be a big help.
A special IVPF fund has been set up to help this family. To make your donation via PayPal click here: Baby Gilles Special Fundraiser or send your donation to:

The IVPF exists to raise awareness about vasa previa and eliminate the infant deaths it causes. We are proud to be able to help this family in need by organizing this special fundraiser. Here is an excellent opportunity to directly impact the trauma this terrible condition causes!
Many thanks and kindest regards,
