This group is for the benefit of birthing women throughout the Florida area, whether or not you are an official member of ICAN.
If you are recovering from a cesarean, planning a VBAC, searching for care providers, or planning an upcoming birth or pregnancy and wanting information to prevent cesareans, have a healthier,more positive experience or learn more about birth, ICAN of Florida Welcomes you!

This group was founded by members of The International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN), a non-proft organization with a three-fold purpose:

* To lower the rising cesarean rate through education,

* To provide a forum where women and men can express their thoughts and concerns about birth, and

* To provide a support network for women who are healing from past birth experiences and for those who are preparing for births.

This group was founded by members of ICAN in Florida but is not affiliated with www.ICAN-online.org and is open to all women who are seeking support.
