IMPORTANT: In order to join ICAN Seattle's Yahoo Group you MUST complete a 2-step process. Step 1) Click "Join this Group" in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Step 2) Respond to the e-mail that is automatically sent by Yahoo providing us with the information we need to approve your membership. The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
In addition to this group, ICAN of Seattle offers an extensive lending library, phone peer counseling, care provider referrals, and ne educational and supportive meeting each month.

Our evening meetings are open to the public. Moms, partners, doulas, childbirth educators, and other interested parties are welcome to attend. They take place on the second Monday of each month at Whole Foods Market- Interbay, 2001 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, in the "Chill Lounge" from 7pm to 9pm. Babies in arms are welcome.
