Postdoctoral Position - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Summary Investigator: Frank Gonzalez, M.D.
A two year NIH-funded post-doctoral position is available immediately to study the role of inflammation in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. The position requires the ability to execute experiments independently after discussions with PI. The individual will be responsible for isolating and preparing mononuclear cells for storage. Prior experience and mastery in performing cell culture, RT-PCR, Western blotting, electrophoretic mobility shift assays, protein determination and enzymatic assays are absolutely
essential. The investigator will teach the individual to perform chemiluminescense assay to measure reactive oxygen species generation. The individual will also assist in the recruitment of study subjects through phone interviews and arrangement of screening tests.
