Summary
Investigator: Albert Edwards, MD, PhD Associate Professor
A Ph.D. level scientist is sought to participate in research related to complex traits affecting the eye with an emphasis on age-related macular degeneration (AMD):
A molecular geneticist is sought to study the genetics of AMD and other hereditary eye diseases. The applicant would join a group of 5 other scientists performing candidate and genome wide association, biomarker, and molecular biology experiments on AMD. The group includes physician-scientists, a statistical geneticist,database specialist, and other persons.
The applicant must have (i) excellent skills in molecular biology and molecular genetics including use of databases and laboratory work; (ii) a Ph.D., and (iii) publications in molecular genetics
