The
Student BMJ is looking for a medical student to be the new student editor for a year. This full time job requires you to:
Commission, peer review, select, edit, and write articles Be involved with all aspects of publishing the journal in print Maximise the online potential of the Student BMJ Liaise with internal departments, such as marketing, production, and advertising Coordinate our network of international advisers To apply for this job you need enthusiasm, self motivation, and imagination. Suitable
candidates should have clinical experience and an excellent standard of English. We
are particularly interested in applicants with some previous experience of medical or
other journalism, including web journalism.
You will be based at the start in mid-May 2008 to shadow the current student editor. You will report to the senior
editor of the Student BMJ

Your application should include a CV, covering letter, and examples of published work
or a copy of a publication you have edited. We would also like you to provide a written
critique of the February and March issues of the Student BMJ (both print and online).
Interviews will be held the third week of April 2008. If you are unable to be in
London, we may try to do the interview by telephone. The deadline for your
