Just wondering if anyone has had this or has this as a problem.
Keirsten who is 3 1/2 cpan has not grown more than 1 centimeter sense
March. I am getting concerned that the GH is just not working. She
goes back to the endo in a couple of weeks and maybe we will see some
growth, but it would not be very noticeable. The GH is doing every
thing else that is should like keeping her sugars from dropping (most
of the time). She has good muscle tone and seams pretty healthy
other wise. There was a short period of time were her growth hormone
devise was not working and we did not know it, but we have sense
fixed that problem. So she did go with out the right amount of GH
from about May through June. But March, April, July August and
September she has gotten the GH. So I feel she should of grown more
than a centimeter???
One more question. I am struggling to get her to sleep. Do any of
you have that problem?
Hello, Just wondering if anyone has had this or has this as a problem. Keirsten who is 3 1/2 cpan has not grown more than 1 centimeter sense March. I am...
Sounds like she got enough to suppress her natural. You can't treat with a low dose for the same reasons you can't treat thyroid and adrenals with low doses. ...
Thanks, Keirsten is on 50 mcg of levothyroixne, 2.5, 1.25, 2.5 mg of cortef and she is on 0.6 of the GH. She has had so many test done on her I don't even...
I think your daughter may not be on enough cortef. I've read 10 to 15 mg is replacement for young children depending on age. So this may be why she still...
That is very low, I would expect her to have problems with salt wasting. Potassium between 4.0-4.3 is 75% chance of being secondary. She needs aldosterone and...
I am confused about what you mean when you say salt wasting and the low Potassium? But every time she end up in the hospital she need potassium?? And what...
Secondary adrenal insufficiency is what she has, that alone makes one hypopituitary. Yes, potassium is deficient in 99% of secondaries. I forgot to mention...
OK I understand that she is secondary Adrenal insufficiency, that also makes her thyroid insufficiency secondary right?? I was thinking secondary like there...
Sometimes I see (usually women) secondary AI with primary hypothyroid. Hashimotos always enters into this though. Her secondary AI didn't cause her secondary...
Here is her page again I hope it works Thanks for all the info. You can never have enough Carolyn http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/keirstenmcgowan ... From:...
I figured out the misspelling. Pretty girls you have. From reading it, it sounds like the GH was more of a concern than cortisol, the doc should have been...
Thank you. Yes I have heard it can cause that and I think we are just very lucky to have Keirsten with us as I am sure she had lots of droops in her sugars...
You're welcome, Chris ... lucky to have Keirsten with us as I am sure she had lots of droops in her sugars as a baby and crashes as I look back at the road we...
