family members, health care professionals and anyone else with an interest in the condition. The purpose of the list is to share information and support in dealing with hydrocephalus. A good way to start is to send a message to the group introducing yourself. Feel free to post anytime. We ask a lot of questions here and get a lot of support back. A little about me. Well my name is Karen, I have 4 children and my 3rd child, Ben, was born in Aug. of 1998 with Hydrocephalus and Cerebal Palsy. This was not discovered until he was 4 months old. Since then he has undergone 9 surgeries. VP shunts, Plureal shunt, 3rd ventriculostomy, VA shunt and currently has another VP shunt.
I started this group to find answers and support for myself and found that there are a lot of people out there just like me.
