new workout

Hi so would you do the same with legs and abs 20r squat - 20r crunch
10 squat- 10 crunch then same with 5 to 6reps.

John Casler writes:

That is correct

I ask as isnt it dodgy working the abs before squats making your
squat form less solid thus a greter chance of injury?

John Casler writes:

Shouldn't cause any problems, unless you have a really weak torso.

I ended up over 500# x 6 (Started around 1/2 that) with a Reverse Load Squat
of over 200#, and my back improved because of it. (I never use, or suggest
the use, of a belt by the way)

However, if your back feels weak or "dodgy" proceed more slowly, but I would
guess you will add 3-5# each squat workout (that is 20# a month) which
should be "easy". Just think in 3 months you will be squatting 60# more
than right now. (FOR REPS)
