You could try close grip bench lock outs in the rack with the bar on
the pins so the movement is about a half a stroke. If you use a 12
inch grip and are pushing the bar bar almost straight up from the
lower chest, you can almost take the shoulders completely out of the
lift. I recently returned to dips after many years from not doing
them because of injury. About 20 years ago I could dip(all the way
down) 200lbs for 2-3 reps, interestingly, my bench was only around
300lbs weighing 165lbs at this time.
