<Kate:>
I am a 35 year old woman, and need to lose a lot of fat. I read about the
Warrior diet in a magazine. I have ordered the book too. Are there any women
here who have lost weight with this diet? What about the men? How do you
feel on this diet? Have any of you used it for fat loss? Lots of fat loss?
:-)
<Geoff's response:>
The Warrior Diet is intriguing, but I doubt I'd recommend it to a friend who
was really interested in fat loss. One of the reasons that many diets fail
is that the dieter gets tired of the regimen, or can't make themselves stick
to it for a long period of time. The Warrior diet requires and even savors
the discipline and self-denial that goes with skipping meals regularly. You
get to eat whatever you want once each day (after your workout), but you
don't eat other than that. This can be hard to maintain.
If you want to lose a lot of weight, check out this link: the idea here is
to eat regularly, and not worry so much about the minutae of counting
calories and figuring nutrient percentages - just limit total food intake
over the course of the day. Read the FAQ on that site and it'll provide
some useful information. I am in no way affiliated with the author and have
no way to gain from you reading - but I'm offering this as a simple, free
way to think about your diet. Don't be overwhelmed by all the information
out there. The simplest diet isn't really a diet at all - just a lifestyle
change opting to move more, eat less. The rest will balance itself out in
reasonably short order.
Good luck!
Geoff
