Here are a few things that you should know to make your experience
with these life enhancing products even better:

Common "Scents" Precautions

Therapeutic-grade essential oils are strong and safe when used as
directed. Below are some precautions that help you have an enjoyable
experience using Young Living Essential Oils.

1. Read the label on the bottle before using essential oils.

2. Keep lids securely fastened and out of the reach of children.

3. Therapeutic grade essential oils may be used at full strength. An
exception to this would be if one were to apply a "hot oil" such as
cinnamon or oregano which would need to be "cooled down" with a
carrier oil. Another exception would occur when applying oils to
children. However, it is advisable to test a small amount of an oil
the first time it is used on the soft, underside of your arm to see
if there is a reaction. If an oil starts to irritate, rub the area
with vegetable oil. Water will not work to cool oils.

Please note that in a few instances there may be a temporary
detoxification reaction when using pure essential oils (which is a
good thing). This is not an allergic reaction.

What should you do if you experience a detox reaction? Back off the
oil for a period of time while you work on cleansing, fasting or
eating healthy foods, and drinking lots of water to help flush out
toxins. With time, the reaction will disappear and you will be in a
healthier state .

4. Keep oils out of your eyes, ears, and away from mucous membranes.
If you get oil in your eye, soothe with a drop of vegetable oil.
Washing the eye with water does not help.

5. Be aware that citrus oils may cause an increased reaction to the
sun. Avoid prolonged sunbathing after applying pure citrus oils to
the skin.

6. Do not use essential oils when pregnant without the supervision of
a health professional.

I am are happy to help answer any questions that you have after
reviewing this list.

Sincerely,

Katerina Getchell

I have a distributor in Florida that spend 3-4 hours almost every day in the
sun. The EODR says to avoid sun exposure for 3-4 days after using any citrus
oils. Does this mean my distributor in Florida can never use citrus oils?
What has been your experience using citrus oils and the sun?

I have been having a stopped up feeling in my ear for about a month.
The inside of my ear is always wet and hurt sometimes. I have noticed
a sore bump near the base of the ear and if I roll my neck around,
there is a grating noise from the back of the neck. I have noticed I
am in much more pain if I am nervous or upset. I do have a tendency
to raise my shoulders when stressed. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. I have tried what I know.

Hello Jim,

I have two long standing clients with Lupus. The oils very much depend
on what symptoms are causing problems at any given time.

My favoured oils though are Celery Seed, Fennel and Carrot Seed. Detox
effect being what in my opinion is the best way to alleviate swollen
joints, these I mix as bath preperations and ointments. For aches and
pains in massage, oils for arthritis are best. I've had excellent
results using Arnica infused oil and Evening Primrose oil blended with
my usual carrier oil.

There have been times when the client has just been too sore in their
joints for any type of massage at all. It's at times like these that
the baths and ointments come into their own.

Some people who have lupus, have very sensitive skin, so oils which
cause photosensiting should be avoided. (Bergamot, Citrus etc.).

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Joanne

i know it does a few wonder ful things. besides being anitseptic, antifungal and
producing an energetically awakening scent, it increases spem count... among a

least with a purple tinge ~ is worshiped as the goddess, Sri Radha, Sri

for literally thousands of years, along with it being a crucial aspect of
ayurveda....
so, anyone know any more about this wondrous gift? please fill me in, i would

Seems to me you should be considering vaccine damage. The choices then would
be products to balance the nervous system and immune system. Get an EDR book
from www.essentialscience.net. (EDR means Essential Oil Desk Reference).

Ningxia Red would be terrific I'm sure. I know a fully grown autistic person
who benefited enough from our original BYJ that his mom wrote a testimonial.

Cheers, David

PS. Super-B will probably work well also since B's convert into
neurotransmitter.

Hello & greetings to all,

This is about my nephew who is showing signs of tics. He had taken so much
antibiotics in the past 10 years since he was a baby. He did not have these
symptoms earlier in his childhood, but I guess during this past couple of
years. Tics accoring to the Nutrition almanac is due to B-deficiency.

Any information is so much appreciated.

Thanks
Lourdes

WHAT SOME PEOPLE SAY ABOUT KATHY SPOHN AS A CARE INSTRUCTOR
As an RN with extensive psychiatric nursing experience and a licensed massage
therapist, I have been exposed

to a lot educationally and experientially, but this CARE Seminar was one of the
most comprehensive educational

seminars I have ever come across. Kathy Spohn, FCCI is a gifted and talented
presenter. I hope this information

can reach the masses as it is absolutely life transforming.

Darlene Plyler, Pawleys Island, South Carolina

I have been in health care for 23 years and have learned many different
modalities. Kathy has really got it together.

I hope we can get her again.

Delores Ludwick, Omaha, Nebraska

After 10 1/2 years of doing Raindrop-this seminar helped my technique 100%! So
many bits of info and technique
clicked for me.
Dolores Candelara, Aveblo, CO

I've taken raindrop levels before, but this was the most informative, thorough,
mind-blowing, hands-on I've ever experienced.

The Healing Oils of the Bible has helped me to find more scriptures pertaining
to the oils to really share it with everyone!

Linda Greenfield, Jamaica, New York

The CARE program is an essential and integral part to all the healing arts.
This is a new paradigm that will surely be a major movement.

Dr. Scott Wruck, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Outstanding knowledge in so many modalities is her asset alone with her
intuitiveness. I aspire to this level. Excellent conference.

Jane Bennett, Jacksonville, Florida

Intense, but well choreographed program. Lots of info incorporated by
documentation and bibliography. I felt I had a personal teacher,

even though we had a large group. Genuine people, passionate about their work.

Nicole Kasemire, Longmont, Colorado

Wow, I just finished the Syracuse CARE Intensive with Kathy Spohn and it was
INCREDIBLE! Kathy was very thorough in her teaching.

I was the fortunate one who was the receiver of the emotional release session
and it had a powerful impact on me. Through Kathy's

guidance I was able to get to the root of my calling and understand what in my
life had been holding me back from following my life's path.

It was a profound experience which I am still processing and working to
understand. Kathy is very intuitive and knew where I needed to go.

Marianne Strait, Liverpool, New York

A wonderful speaker! A wonderful experience. It is obvious that these
techniques, along with the essential oils, truly represent

"the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."

Bill Harris, Physicist, Big Stone Gap, Virginia

Kathy is both experienced and knowledgeable. She is intuitive, calm, kind,
perceptive and fun to work with. She evokes respect and

responsiveness and cooperation from her students in a warm and loving
atmosphere. I love working with her. I have benefited greatly

from her gifts and look forward to continuing to learn from her.

Cathy Tift RN, Zeeland, Michigan

Incredible class! Kathy is great and has such a gift with both the oils and
with people. Always happy, always a smile, always patient

and always ready to share her knowledge of oils. Her passion shows and
overflows onto all who are in her presence. I only wish the

class lasted longer!
Sharie Cundall, Guernsey, Wyoming

I came to this workshop a complete novice in both oils and body work. The
teaching part was clear and understandable. The hands-on

training was lovingly and caringly guided. I was continually encouraged to
learn in a safe environment. Kathy was able to inspire trust

and confidence in me through her own competency, caring and character. She is
truly a person of integrity who is interested in teaching

others her knowledge rather than trying to grow her own importance and power.
She is gifted and is allowing God to use her mightily.

The weekend has given me an incredible amount of knowledge and confidence to go
out and practice what I've learned! Thank you!

Vicki McClellan, Grand Rapids, Michigan

hey everyone ~ i hope that you are recieving infinite blessing in your lives and
the sun is shinning down love on you ( or at least a rainbow is :o)
so what does anyone know about the medicinal qualities or the type of basil know
as "tulasi" that is from india. i know there are a few types i.e. "krishna,
rama, vana(forest) tulsi" but i'm sure that they are generally grouped together.
i know it does a few wonder ful things. besides being anitseptic, antifungal and
producing an energetically awakening scent, it increases spem count... among a
few of it's benifits. all over india this basil ~ which is mostly purple or at
least with a purple tinge ~ is worshiped as the goddess, Sri Radha, Sri
Krishna's beloved. the worship of this basil is documented to have taken place
for literally thousands of years, along with it being a crucial aspect of
ayurveda....
so, anyone know any more about this wondrous gift? please fill me in, i would
love to know (and if any one would loike a few seeds from either of the 3
varietis send me your adress and i'll mail you some ~ they prefer lots of sun
and at least a sprinkle of water every day. thanks and aloha

This is my first time posting here, but I've believed for a long time that many
conditions
can be treated, improved, or cured by adding aromatherapy to more conventional
treatments. I would love to hear anyone's experiences with this phenomenon.
At present I have only a small collection of essential oils, but I'm buying more
as I can
afford. As soon as I post this, I think I need some wild chamomile oil. LOL.
Talk soon.

Hi every one,

There are so many wonderful testimonials about oils and supplements
but not about building businesses.

I am looking for testimonials, to share of course, about your YL
business. Things like how long did it take to reach your goals, how
your life is improved because of the greater finances and how oils
like "Abundance" and "Magnify your Purpose", or "Clarity" helped you
over come roadblocks in your business.

  Thanks a million,
Naomi

Hello, everyone!

I want to share a FANTASTIC website that will help us teach our customers
why they should throw away their drug-store brand personal care products and
purchase from Young Living. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has a
website that provides detailed information about the chemicals we find in
most personal care products and their dangers to us and our families. Check
out the following link.

http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep

You can instantly learn which chemicals are typically found in toothpastes,
shampoos, soaps, baby care products, etc. PLUS see the EWG's rating of
thousands of brand name products. This website is a wealth of information
that will help your prospects and customers value Young Living even more!

Blessings,

Regarding skin cancer - Young Living's Idaho Balsam Fir combined with
Frankincense has been found to be effective against cancer cells in research
situations in the lab. According to information received at Young Living's
2005 convention, research has shown that Idaho Balsam Fir has been found
effective against all seven tumor strains, in laboratory experiments.
Combined with Frankincense it is very effective against cancer cells.

According to Dr. David Hill, from Young Life Research Clinic in Springville,
Utah, the clinic has done research using Frankincense in combination with
each of the following oils (1/2 and 1/2), rotated every three days, using
THERAPEUTIC GRADE oils such as Young Living oils. For skin cancer, I would
think that direct, topical application would be most effective, to see what
happens. Here are the oil combinations:

Frankincense with Idaho Balsam Fir (3 days); Frankincense with Tsuga for 3
days; Frankincense with Ledum for three days; Frankincense with Lavender
for three days; Frankincense with clove (which may make the skin burn, you
decide) for three days; Frankincense with Sandalwood for three days; then
begin again. I would guess that the oils should be applied every waking
hour of the day up to 12 times, but that is only a guess at what might help.
These oils are part of a protocol used at the clinic that may be effective
with cancer.

I would not want to put clove directly on the skin of the face, as it will
burn. Please remember that the above is not medical advice, only
information to consider. I hope this is helpful. I would be happy to
discuss this further off list at MPrince500@...

I know Lavender is great for relaxing and for burns. I put that in my
overly active daughter's favorite doll, along with chamomile, and she
is out like a light. We have sewer problems at my work and I open my
lavender, sprinkling a little on me and the surrounding enviroment.
It brings quick results of a better smelling enviroment.

will take care of most problems. The majority of problems within the
normal body heal spontaneously, if left alone to do so, given adequate
rest, and pure water. Herbs used knowledgeably assist, support,
inspire, tone, nourish, and soothe. Your body does the healing. I am

I have a fellow in his early 40's who has lost his sense of taste and
smell. No medical reason. No accident was involved here. No reason
that this happened. Besides what is mentioned in the EDR, are there
any personal testimonials out there that would help him? Thank you.

I have a dog whose ears hang low and get very little air
hence they have a tendency to get well gnarly. Recently they've
gotten a nasty rock hard growth that is not yeast (we had it checked).

But it won't come off even with some essential oils. I've used
Thieves and Purification too. Any suggestions? It could be food or
enviornmental allergies as we moved two months ago to Virginia from
NYS. Thanks, Diane

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has successfully treated basal cell skin
cancer with essential oils? I have a friend who found out he has a
spot on his nose from a biopsy and the doctor would like to do
surgery. I told him to first try lavender and frankincense applied
topically. Does anyone have any experience with these oils or any
other oils applied to skin cancer?
Thanks,
Beth

Received this in my Aikido Newsletter. It is long so I
have put the results at the end up top here as well.
The detailed info follows.

(NOTE: Correspondence: Email me separately as I do not
look at the site often and just use it for reference.)

Results summary:
--Peppermint is associated with decreased anxiety while
driving.
--Peppermint is associated with decreased fatigue while
driving.
--Peppermint and cinnamon are associated with decreased
driving frustration.
--Peppermint and cinnamon are associated with decreased
temporal demand while
driving.
--Peppermint and cinnamon are associated with greater
levels of driving alertness.
The results of the study were presented at the recent
Association for Chemical Reception
Sciences Conference in Sarasota, Fla."

From Original New School Aikido Newsletter:

"This comes from Wheeling Jesuit University (West
Virginia)
If you want to be a better, more alert driver and you
want that grind of a daily commute to
be a little less frustrating, all you have to do is fill
your car with the scent of either
peppermint or cinnamon.

When researchers from Wheeling Jesuit University in West
Virginia, exposed volunteer
drivers to the scent of peppermint and cinnamon, a funny
thing happened. They became
less frustrated and suffered less anxiety and fatigue.
In addition, they became more
alert--just from the scent of these two spices. "Given
these results, it is reasonable to
expect that the presentation of peppermint or cinnamon
odor while driving may produce a
more alert and conscientious driver, and minimize the
fatigue associated with prolonged
driving," said study leader and associate professor of
psychology Dr. Bryan Raudenbush.

This wasn't a total surprise. Previous research has
shown that peppermint and cinnamon
enhance motivation, performance, and alertness, decrease
fatigue, and serve as central
nervous system stimulants.

In this latest study, Raudenbush found that when
volunteers who were monitored during
simulated driving conditions were exposed for 30 seconds
in 15 minute intervals to
cinnamon, their level of fatigue decreased. In addition,
the drivers became more alert
when exposed to cinnamon and peppermint, while a no-odor
control had no effect on the
drivers. "Periodic administration of these odors over
long-term driving may prove
beneficial in maintaining alertness and decreasing
highway accidents and fatalities,"
Raudenbush said in a news release announcing the study
findings.
