Other oils and combos to try which may smell better to your husband:
With mosquito season upon us with the usual concern about West Nile
people may be stocking up on bug repellent and wondering if there are
alternatives to Deet, which is rather unpleasant and has some people
concerned about toxicity. I have been using an insect repellent that
contains catnip oil which has been found to be more effective than
Deet and much more pleasant to wear. Now there is a new essential oil
that has been found to be effective also - oil of lemon eucalyptus.
Another formula I have seen contains oil of rosemary and pennyroyal
so despite the catnip content my friend's cat hates it and she has
not been attacked by felines.
Good luck pleasing yourself and your husband and NOT the mosquitos!
