Also, go in at an angle. Typically, it should not bruise or be sore; it should
slide in painlessly. I did get some bad needles once, and they resisted going in
a little, and did cause some bruising.
Good luck!

This happened to me too, then someone told me to put pressure on the spot for a
little while after injecting. No bruising! Some areas I injected hurt a little,
others not at all.

Here's my yesterday (most days are pretty similar):

breakfast:  mushroom, spinach, and swiss omelette (2 eggs, 2 tbsp cream, 1/2 c mushrooms, 1/2 fresh spinach, 2 oz swiss cheese)  around 370 calories

lunch: cheeseburger minus the bun (lean ground beef patty, 2 oz cheddar cheese, tomato, onion, pickle, low-sugar ketchup, mustard, miracle whip **I use two large peices of lettuce in place of buns)  around 300 calories

snack: 2 oz almonds - 340 calories

dinner: chicken lettuce wraps  (chopped, seasoned chicken breast wrapped up in lettuce with tomato, onion, miracle whip, mustard, and cheese) around 400 calories

dessert: homemade icecream with splenda instead of sugar  - around 400 calories

Total cals for the day: 1810

I'm continually surprised that I can eat a decent sized portion of my homemade ice cream (which contains a lot of fat, ie. cream) and not gain a bit the next day. I'm on day 11 of maintenence and I've eaten ice cream almost every night with no weight gain. I've also been eating sugar-free jello (10 cals per serving) as a snack when I'm craving something sweet.

Other meal ideas:  chicken caesar salad (find a ceasar dressing with no carbs/sugar)
taco salad - ground beef w/taco seasoning (use the one with the least carbs/sugar), lettuce, tomato, cheese, spicy ranch dressing.

Note: I'm really eating NO fruit. I've been able to eat a few strawberries with no gain, but I've been too afraid to try anything else. I am very concious about my total carbs/sugar each day. For example, if I eat cottage cheese for a snack, I won't eat almonds (both have carbs).

I try to get at least 1700 and not more than 2100. I"ve not been eating out because there's no predicting what restaurants put sugar in. Hope this helps! I know it's scary to eat MORE, but it honestly helps.

I'm not sure of the amount of BAC but the HCG was 5000iu.. it seemed the bac
was same amount of liquid. It took 3 times to insert it all...sorry I know this
is silly but it was done all at the clinic.

You can still have .5 or 50 on the scale of the 1/2 cc syringe contain 125 IU of
hCG in each syringe.  It depends on how it was reconstituted and with how much
liquid.

I was injecting intermuscular (1 1/2inch needle) rarely felt much at all for pain, I only bruised maybe 4x in the 40days I very rarely injected in the stomache cuz i did feel it more & bruised there. I injected in my upper thigh mostly, but was told later i could inject into my hip/upper buttocks(haven't tried that yet though) If you have someone to help you, you can inject into your upper arm too.

The steak day worked! I lost two pounds on the nose. That was yesterday. This
morning I am down .6 of a pound from my last injection weight. I lowered my
calories to around 1500 and that seems to work for me. I'm sure that it is
different for everyone. The trick is to watch the scale and keep a list of
everything you eat. Count the calories so that you can look back and see whether
you need to increase or decrease to stabilize your weight. The info of 11x my
weight was way to much for me but might work for someone else.

give you the number of calories you would need to eat so I've been eating nearly
2000 calories a day which has been really hard, go figure! It obviously didn't
work for me. So now it's a steak day. I've done pretty well today, didn't eat
anything at all but am really looking forward to dinner. I also read that your
weight can swing wildly the first couple of weeks on maintenance, so maybe that
is waht is happening. Keep your fingers crossed at morning weigh-in for me! My
plan is to eat 1500-1700 calories tomorrow if I'm down.

The size of the syringe is not what determines how much hCG you get in each dose.

The amount inside the syringe is not as important as how the hCG was diluted.  You can still have .5 or 50 on the scale of the 1/2 cc syringe contain 125 IU of hCG in each syringe.  It depends on how it was reconstituted and with how much liquid.

For example, if you take a 5000 IU vial and add 10 mL of liquid to it, you can have 40 syringes of 125 IU in each syringe with only a liquid level of 25 on the syringe.

If you add 20 mL of liquid to the dry powder, you can have 40 syringes of 125 IU in each syringe with a liquid level of 50 on the syringe.  Or, you can fill each syringe to 25 on the scale and it will have 62.5 IU in the syringe at the same dilution rate (125/2 = 62.5 IU in each).

The rate you should be thinking of is 125 IU of hCG and not "125 cc" of liquid.

What are you really trying to do?  What is the IU size of the vial?

Just started on phase 3, my 3 day today and am eating exactly as Pam wrote below. So far so good...Up one pound today, but I think it may be because I had two sugar free popsicles last night just before bedtime and awoke several times during the night thirsty as all get out and loaded up on water.

1. You have to understand everybody is different with what works for them.
Keep a daily food diary it helps you look back & see what might be a problem for you
2. Buy a 'HCG weight loss cure guide' by Linda Prinster It has a food guide in it to tell you what's allowed every phase of the diet (it's my HCG Bible I take it with me everywhere)
3. Read all food labels when grocery shopping.
Protein - BEST, Fiber - Good, Fat - OK, Sugar & Starch NO-little, if any

**I eat a protein bacon, sausage, eggs (deviled eggs, omelets), or string cheese with a fruit (anything except mango, & melons) for breakfast
**I eat a salad once a day. (Lg chef salad with ham, cheese, dressing, bacon bits, sunflower seeds, seasonings, melba toast or grissini sticks crushed for croutons. or just a sm side salad with my lunch or dinner
**All meat is good the higher in protein the better, the lower the fat even better (super lean ground beef etc)
**Pork Rinds (all protein & a little fat) & Homemade Peach Salsa (all fruit & veggies) is my favorite snack lately
other snacks Apples w/ Peanut Butter, Fresh fruits & veggies, Almonds, Peanuts, Jerky
Sugar Free & Fat Free Jello/Pudding/Popcicles (I only allow myself 1 of these per day)

Main thing is... I eat when i'm hungry. 6-7x a day, even if it's just a small handful of nuts or a fruit/veggie. even a popcicle/jello or pudding.
I get at least 1500-1700 calories a day... any less I noticed I gain the next day.

Hope this helps... Good Luck

Would any of you on maintenance be willing to send me what exactly you eat on a typical day so I could get an idea of what I should be doing or what I am doing wrong? I would so gretaly appreciate this!!! Thank you!

Good Luck

Okay the Dr I went to gave me an insulin needle that holds 50 units or 1/2 a CC.
My original injections were supposed to be 25 and then down to 12.5 after two
weeks. (where they came up with this I have no clue) So does this mean instead
of taking 125cc's I was only taking 12.5 cc's?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm clueless about needles.

I have my HCG (2000iu's) and am not sure what dosage to mix at? I am doing subq injections and weight 260lbs at 6'5". I keep seeing dosages ranging from 125iu's all the way to 200iu's.... I always figured since I was a larger guy I should start at 175iu's. How do the masses feel about this? Where do you think I should start?

I had the same experience - the first day I ate too little and gained. Once I increased to about 1700, I was stable. I can eat as much as 2000 without gaining. (Including lots of cheese and sugar-free homemade icecream!)

Thanks for your response Pam.
I read that you were supposed to multiply your weight by 11 and that would give you the number of calories you would need to eat so I've been eating nearly 2000 calories a day which has been really hard, go figure! It obviously didn't work for me. So now it's a steak day. I've done pretty well today, didn't eat anything at all but am really looking forward to dinner. I also read that your weight can swing wildly the first couple of weeks on maintenance, so maybe that is waht is happening. Keep your fingers crossed at morning weigh-in for me! My plan is to eat 1500-1700 calories tomorrow if I'm down.

Please check out the videos on artificial sweeteners here:
There are a couple of ways to ionize your water at this link.  This process , for me, makes the taste of plain water preferable over anything else.  The taste is so light and smooth because the surface tension of the molecule is much lower after ionization.
