THE INVINCIBIILITY OF A FLOWER
A crystal clear morn, the canopy of stars so very
close by such that one might easily have reached out
and touched a celestial brother or sister from afar.
With first light, a bouquet of color revealed -- the
mums having endured the chill of this fall night
unscathed. Soon they too would be no more -- with the
frosty touch of a winter's wind will fade.
Power and control are preoccupations of many in this
world of seeming vulnerability. To seek to protect
oneself through force, persuasion, politic, etc.
however, though understandable, only serves to
perpetuate a consciousness of threat -- the status
quo.
To be completely free of all threat, one need only
believe in life no matter what, remembering all the
while that we are eternal beings on a journey of
self-discovery -- on a quest for Love, despite all
appearances to the contrary, for Love is all there is!
From this perspective, like the flower, we may bloom
to the time of our last hour -- completely vulnerable
and yet invincible -- knowing that winter is naught
but a time of respite in the heart of our Mother and a
preparation for flowering, once more, in spring!
