Unfortunately, I did not realize Dr. English is not attending this conference. :(

Jess,
I agree that Dr. English is more willing to listen. She has been briefed in the past. But perhaps she can make things happen now that she is in the seat of power.

Hey guys,
I know i've been missing in action for a while. I just had a conversation with my guest professor for my business in audiology class a few days ago, and I asked her about her thoughts on establishing a deaf/hoh group via AAA and she gave me alot of great ideas and suggestions. She personally knows alot of AAA past presidents and recommended that we contact the current AAA president, Dr. Kristina English, instead of going through one of AAA's committees because we probably wont have much luck in establishing an official group. Dr. English apparently used to spend a good number of years with the deaf and hard of hearing community and she might be more empathetic about helping us. She may be able to put in a final word to enforce this to happen! I think we need to draft a letter of why we need to establish an official committee for deaf / hoh audiologists via AAA, create a website link on the AAA website geared towards deaf/hoh audiologists and students, and discuss further about accomodations for the AAA conventions!
Is any one a good "legal" writer? I'm horrible with writing these kind of things and any help would be awesome. I'm more than happy to discuss/proof read the letter for Dr. English.
Please let me know!

P.S.
I'm finishing up my last 3 weeks of classes at Northwestern then moving back to NY on August 8th to start my externship in September. I'll have more time to help out with these things for sure!
