Despite my encouragement to the Convention staff that a HOH
audiologist be involved in the convention, particularly for setting
up accommodations, I have not heard that any of us were chosen. I
know that I was NOT chosen to help with the next convention AAA
2007 - were any of you??? This surprised me since last year we had
a large response of people who basically told us "if you want it
done... do it yourself." But I can't get in the door as a volunteer
and I am not in a good position to run for any offices. This is
highly discouraging. So, I hope that you have had better luck.

Keep me posted if you have been in contact with AAA about our
accommodations (FM systems, CART, Interpreting services,
Preferential Seating, etc) so that I know what is communicated.

I plan to contact the convention chair soon to ask what is in the
plans thus far (and add to their plans if they fall short).
