I am a 2nd year AuD student in a 3-year AuD program at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and I also have bilateral cochlear implants.  I had the first CI since 1998 and just got my 2nd one in July 2007.  I agree with Tina, I love having bilaterals too!

Are you coming to the AAA convention in Dallas this year? Abe Vore and I are planning together a discussion group for the deaf/hoh audiologists at the convention.  We're still waiting to hear from someone at AAA for an official confirmation of a date/time for this meeting.  Hope you can attend and it would be great meeting you. 

I don't know the actual number of those with a CI(s) in this field, but right now I can think of about 7 audiology students or professional with CI's, incuding myself.
