Julie - good luck!  How are you liking the VA?  I did my fourth year at the VA in DC and loved it! 
 
Tina - yes, I think we have met online before ... years ago. 
 
I got my first implant (Hugh) in 1994 as part of the Clarion (Advanced Bionics) clinical trials.  Amazed by the results, I went back to school for my Au.D. In 2004, I became bilateral (Buttercup) then Hugh died quietly in my sleep one night and Blossom was born in 2005.  A whole host of complications followed my third surgery, but all is well now.
 
I've recently moved back to the west coast and am back on the medical side of audiology.
