Hello there and welcome!
I have a moderate to severe hearing loss and do OK at a quiet dinner table. When eating out at a restaurant though I use a Companion Mic which allows input from multiple talkers. It can be used with insert earphones, but I use it with a NoiZfree silhouette with my hearing aids on M-T. Here's a link describing the system.
I'm fortunate to have willing friends and family members, but it really is quite easy for them to use. Just hang around the neck, no microphones to place near the mouth or anything.
Hope this helps.

I just joined HOH group invited by Suzanne Yoder. I can't believe there
are others like me! I thought I was only one with severe bi SNHL
audiologist in the US! I have met others but they had other hearing losses
or better thresholds.
I thought this is a wonderful support since the most difficult thing for me to
carry a conversation in a dinner table. I would love to join conversation
but no one initiate conversation and even if I do, most people keep bare
minimum with me.
Hope to hear from you!
