Hi!
Based on a 40 hour work week, this would translate to about $37,500
a year. I can't speak for competitive salaries in the area (AAA may
have some data), but it does seem on the low end. It would likely
depend on supply/demand. Are there lots of audiologists and few
jobs or the other way around? Is there a benefit package? 401k?
profit sharing? additional compensation based on
productivity/billables? 100% health insurance paid? Is there a
transition period after which you may be offered a salaried
position? Are there frequent opportunities for merit based salary
increases? If yes, that may increase the attractiveness of the
offer. How long has the position been open? Perhaps they are
trying to get you cheaply as possible. Then the question is, would
you work for an organization that plays those kinds of games?
