Hey everyone,

I need some advice and I thought you all might be able to help. I am
graduating with my Au.D. in May and doing the job search thing. I had
an interview and the pay offered was $18 an hour. First of all the
hourly thing I think is strange for a doctorate profession. Second of
all $18 is kinda low I think. I am just curious if this is a common
thing, but I was expecting to get a salary.

I have a few other interviews set up and hopefully they are better
opportunities.

Does anyone know how I can find out what is a competitive salary for my
area?? St. Louis, MO

Thanks for any advice,

Kristen Bretz

I'll play devil's advocate here. As a business owner, I would expect a person being paid $61k to generate at least 180k in collected income. If you can show...

Kristen Will add to Brad's comment Did they offer you a straight salary or salary + commission on hearing aids fitted? If they offered you just a salary, see...

Kristin I think it depends on the situation, if you're doing part time, or full time with benefits, commissions, etc. I originally applied for a job (part...
