With the AAA convention here and gone again, we have some new member
entering the scene and some renewed interests in the groups efforts.

I wanted to post that there was a meeting at AAA on Saturday and
hopefully Sam and Gloria can share with the group some of the
discussion highlights. (Thank you Sam and Gloria for leading our
group this year)

I thought this would be a good time to bring your attention to
the "Database" section of the Yahoo Group page. This is a good place
to put your contact information and a little Bio about yourself to
share with others. I noticed only 4 people have entered their
contact information and only 6 people have entered a Bio. Please
contact me if you are having trouble entering your information. This
is a great way to share with our new members and the current members
and a good way to let others know whether or not you would be
interested in mentoring (so students know if they can contact you
directly).

Just go to the Yahoo page

Login
Click on Database
Select the Database you want (contact list, bio, etc)
Enter your information.

I also wanted to mention to the group that we may be able to draft
position statements, petitions and group letters by using a PBWiki.
This was suggested by one of our new members, Abe Vore (Thanks Abe!)
and he and I are going to look into this further. This may enable
all of us to have a voice and share our views equally. Thank
goodness for modern-day technology and the internet!!

There are other things to discuss, but I hope that we can include the
new members in the post AAA discussion. I will post more in a day or
so.
