Welcome to the new, official HLAA State and Chapter Leaders’ list. We have designed this resource to help you learn and share useful information among HLAA volunteer leaders at the state and/or chapter level.

The primary purpose of this listserv is to share our successes and tips for LEADING AND DEVELOPING HLAA CHAPTERS AND STATE ORGANIZATIONS. By asking questions and sharing what works and what does not, we can grow professionally and strengthen HLAA from the bottom up.

Please use this forum to share and inspire each other and keep personal concerns to an absolute minimum in order help keep this group focused on its primary goal.

If you are new to this forum or to email groups in general and have questions you want to ask, please send us an email note to Chapters@hearingloss.org.

As you see, this listserv is hosted on Yahoo Groups, so in addition to standard sharing of email among subscribers, many other features are available including: access to MESSAGES via a web page, an ARCHIVE, and a place to upload FILES or PHOTOS to share with other subscribers.

Once your subscription to the listserv is approved, you can send email to the group (which will be sent to all subscribers) and you will receive all email sent from other subscribers. Caution: any replies you send to messages you receive from this listserv will also be sent to all subscribers. You may wish to reply only to an individual rather than to the whole group.

When joining in for the first time please send a post to the list with some information about yourself: your full name, the role you play in the State organization or Chapter (treasurer, newsletter editor, etc.), and what state your Chapter is in.
