NATIONAL

EPIDEMIOLOGY AND PREVENTION OF VACCINE-PREVENTABLE DISEASES 2007
This live interactive program will provide the most current information
available in the constantly changing field of immunization. This is an annual
offering providing a comprehensive overview on immunization presented in four
satellite broadcasts scheduled for January 25, February 1, 8, and 15, 2007.
Session One will include principles of vaccination, general recommendations on
immunization, and vaccine storage, handling, and administration and vaccine
safety. Session Two will include pertussis, pneumococcal disease (childhood),
rotavirus, and Hib. Session Three will include measles, rubella, varicella,
zoster, polio, and meningococcal disease. SESSION FOUR WILL INCLUDE HEPATITIS
B, HEPATITIS A, INFLUENZA, HPV and pneumococcal disease (adult). This broadcast
will feature a question-and-answer session in which participants nationwide can
interact with the course instructors via toll-free telephone lines. Each of the
four sessions can be viewed independently for CE credit.

This course will present knowledge and techniques necessary
for the proper collection, examination and reporting of vaginal wet preps.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their microscopic skills
and examine specimens containing trichomonas, yeast, "clue" cells, and red
and white blood cells. Registration fee is $20.

Denver, Colorado
A three-day course for providers who see patients with STDs on a regular basis.
This course includes a STD didactic review, hands-on practicum rotations, case
management discussions and lab demonstrations. Enrollment is capped at FIVE
attendees per training and is limited to practicing clinicians. These courses
fill early so participants are urged to register significantly in advance.
