CONFERENCE CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 30

The Call for Presentations (CFP) deadline for the 14th Texas HIV/STD
Conference has been extended one week. The new deadline is Friday, July 30,
2004 at 5:00 p.m. We encourage all interested parties to submit
presentations.

The 14th Texas HIV/STD Conference will be held December 13-18, 2004 at the
Renaissance Austin hotel in northwest Austin. The tentative agendas for the
conference and clinical update may be viewed at the conference Web site:

www.tdh.state.tx.us/hivstd/conf/2004/default.htm.


CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 30

The deadline for scholarship applications has also been extended one week.
The new deadline is Friday, July 30, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. All eligible persons
are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship application form is available online at
www.tdh.state.tx.us/hivstd/conf/2004/schol.htm, or by calling Cindi Blair at
512-490-2500, ext. 2674 or 800-299-2437 (wait for attendant and ask for
ext. 2674).

Please note that conference scholarships are for persons affected by HIV,
STD, and Hepatitis C. You must be a Texas resident to be eligible for a
scholarship. Paid employees of TDH, TDH direct-funded organizations,
contractors, and subcontractors are not eligible.
